The biggest rubber duck race on Funen for research on sclerosis
RAP om KAP is a duck race, with rubber ducks. It is held every year with the purpose of collecting money for research on sclerosis. The race is held in Munke Mose in Odense where the ducks are released into the river.
If you want to be in the race and support the Sclerosis Society financial, you have to buy a rubber duck. Each rubber duck is marked with a unique number, so you can win different prices that have been gifted by companies.
Doing the day of the race there will be stands where you can get information about sclerose, buy merchandise etc. and there will be a range of entertainment for children.
How it started
The idea for RAP om KAP is originally from Canada where they had a rubber duck race. In 1997 The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society brought the idea back to Denmark and made it their own. And it has been a tradition ever since the first race in 1998.
Every year the race is arranged by a group of amazing volunteers, that devote their time to this special cause. The group work together with four locale departments on Funen and a lot of different companies, which get together and set up this race. Then the day is over the profit goes uncut to research on sclerosis.
Hoppekids as sponsor
