Hoppekids Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award 2020
Sustainability as the leading star
The goal for Hoppekids Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award is to promote sustainable development among start-ups/entrepreneurs and to support sustainable business or products development.
The Award is 5.000 Euro and will be donated to an entrepreneur or business who is considered to be the best representative for either having:
- Designed/created a product or service that is developed to reduce the number of products in our households OR
- a feature designed to prolong the lifetime usage of other already existing products OR
- a thoughtful packing that has a purpose/function after unwrapping
- features to stimulate kids’ senses and thus increase their ability to learn
- Wishes to be environmentally certified but need economic help.
In 2020 the Hoppekids Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award was held in Denmark and given to a danish entrepreneur/business within the design & lifestyle segment. The jury has wide experience within the danish business. You can read more about this further down.
The applications were open in the period 07.11.12 - 06.12.2020. After that, the jury voted and the winner was announced on 10.12.2020 at 14:30 in a corona friendly environment.

Cheif for sustainbility at Erhvervshus Fyn.
She has great experience with life cycle assessment and chemical products review. Furthermore, she has experience with the strategic part of working with a company's sustainability.
Betina Simonsen
CEO for Lifestyle & Design Cluster.
As CEO for Lifestyle & Design Cluster, Betina works with the promotion of innovation and sustainability in small and medium-sized enterprises.
René Stenvang
Owner of Hoppekids and founder of Hoppekids Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award.
René started Hoppekids 25 years ago and after 2013, where Hoppekids became a carrier of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, he has been dedicated to working with a more sustainable business model.
The winner of 2019
In 2019 the Latvian Babbit received the Hoppekids Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award. Babbit is designed to reduce the number of products we use in our household and extend the lifetime of existing products.
