What size bed should I choose?

You may have already figured out what type of bed your child should sleep in, but are you still unsure about what size bed will fit best in your home? Here are some considerations you should make:

  • How big is the child who will be using the bed?
  • How big is the room where the bed will be?

Whether you should choose a 70x160 cm bed or a 90x200 cm bed depends on the child who will be sleeping in it. It is recommended that the bed is 20 cm longer than the child who will be sleeping in it. Additionally, it is said that the bigger the bed you choose, the longer your child can use it. However, you should make sure that your child feels comfortable sleeping in such a big bed.

The size 70x160 cm is good for the smaller child. It can be reassuring to sleep in a bed that is not much bigger than oneself. It is a popular size that many choose to use between the crib and the big bed.

The size 90x200 cm is good for the slightly bigger child or for children who are comfortable with having plenty of space around them when they sleep. Many choose the larger size because there is plenty of room to grow and therefore the bed can be used for a longer time.

When we talk about the sizes 70x160 cm and 90x200 cm, it is also important to remember that these sizes refer to mattress sizes and not the measurements of the bed itself. Description

This small house bed from the ECO Comfort series is the coziest bed with nice details and a delicious, Nordic design.

There are bed rails on three sides of the bed and the mattress size is 70x160 cm. This provides a safe and calm base. And if your child has a habit of going on nightly adventures, you can easily attach a removable bed rail to the front edge.

It is obvious to play with the bed's graphic design language and, for example, decorate "inside" and "outside" the bed. With a couple of drawers under the bed, you quickly find space for gadgets, trinkets, and everything else.

The bed is Swan-labeled. The Swan label is your guarantee that the product complies with all EU standards for children's furniture and has been tested for these. At the same time, the greatest possible consideration is given to the environment both when purchasing raw materials, during production itself, in the life of the product, and when the product is to be disposed of.

Note that the bed cannot be converted into a junior bed, as the corner posts are part of the bed's legs.

Own factory and sewing room

Hoppekids has its own factory, which means that we can control our products and the materials we use ourselves. This means, among other things, that all the wood we use is carefully selected according to a number of criteria regarding quality, irregularities and - of course - that it comes from sustainable forestry.

To minimize waste, we use computers to calculate how the wood should be cut in the best possible way. This means that we have very little waste – and we also use all wood waste to produce energy for production. We have our own sewing room, where our skilled seamstresses create the fine textiles from our worlds. The applications on curtains and other textiles are sewn by hand. We do this because it provides the best quality. At the same time, it is also more fun to touch for a curious child who is in the process of developing their senses.

Compact shipping

All furniture that is shipped is "self-assembly." The furniture is packed in such a way that we ensure as little air as possible in the package, while also making sure that it arrives intact and undamaged. This is much more environmentally friendly, because we avoid transporting unnecessary air.
