What size bed should I choose?

You may have already figured out what type of bed your child should sleep in, but are you still unsure about what size bed would fit best in your home? Here are some considerations you should make:

  • How big is the child who will be using the bed?
  • How big is the room where the bed will be?

Whether you should choose a 70x160 cm, 90x200 cm, or 120x200 cm bed depends on the child who will be sleeping in it. It is recommended that the bed is 20 cm longer than the child who will be sleeping in it. Additionally, it is said that the bigger the bed you choose, the longer your child can use it. However, you should make sure that your child feels comfortable sleeping in such a big bed.

The size 70x160 cm is good for the smaller child. It can be reassuring to sleep in a bed that is not much bigger than oneself. It is a popular size that many choose to use between the crib and the big bed.

The sizes 90x200 cm & 120x200 cm are good for the slightly bigger child or for children who are comfortable with having plenty of space around them when they sleep. Many choose the bigger size because there is plenty of room to grow and therefore the bed can be used for a longer time.

When we talk about the sizes 70x160 cm, 90x200 cm, and 120x200 cm, it is also important to remember that these sizes refer to mattress sizes and not the measurements of the bed itself. The exact measurements can be found under each bed. The thickness of the bed legs and edges depends on the bed series you choose. The ECO Luxury series has the thickest posts, followed by the ECO Dream, and finally the ECO Comfort with the least thickness.

Description

The ECO Dream JUMBO Bunk Bed from Hoppekids is perfect for small rooms or for children who often have overnight guests. The bottom bunk can easily be transformed from a bed to a table and back again!

The top bunk is equipped with bed rails all around, which creates a safe and cozy atmosphere in the bed. The ladder is placed in the middle, making it easy to access both the bottom and top bunk.

The bottom bed can easily and quickly be converted into a workspace with two benches and a large table. The benches are the ends of the bed, while the tabletop is used as the centerpiece. The table is mounted on the back bed rail and on the ladder.

Spacious drawers on wheels can be placed under the benches to optimize space. We do not recommend using the space under the tabletop for storage if the bed is also used as a play table.

The surface is treated with water-based lacquer free of unnecessary chemicals and harmful substances.

The bed comes with a bed, ladder, bed rails, tabletop, and slats. Mattresses and other accessories must be purchased separately.

Note that the bed is not divisible and therefore cannot be converted into other beds.

Own factory and sewing room

Hoppekids has its own factory, which means that we can control our products and the materials we use ourselves. This means, among other things, that all the wood we use is carefully selected according to a number of criteria regarding quality, irregularities and - of course - that it comes from sustainable forestry.

To minimize waste, we use computers to calculate how the wood should be cut in the best possible way. This means that we have very little waste – and we also use all wood waste to produce energy for production. We have our own sewing room, where our skilled seamstresses create the fine textiles from our worlds. The applications on curtains and other textiles are sewn by hand. We do this because it provides the best quality. At the same time, it is also more fun to touch for a curious child who is in the process of developing their senses.

Compact shipping

All furniture that is shipped is "self-assembly." The furniture is packed in such a way that we ensure as little air as possible in the package, while also making sure that it arrives intact and undamaged. This is much more environmentally friendly, because we avoid transporting unnecessary air.
