What size bed should I choose?

  • How big is the child who will be using the bed?
  • How big is the room where the bed will be?

Whether you should choose a 70x160 cm, 90x200 cm, or 120x200 cm bed depends on the child who will be sleeping in it. It is recommended that the bed is 20 cm longer than the child who will be sleeping in it. Additionally, it is said that the bigger the bed you choose, the longer your child can use it. However, you should make sure that your child feels comfortable sleeping in such a big bed.

The size 70x160 cm is good for the smaller child. It can be reassuring to sleep in a bed that is not much bigger than oneself. It is a popular size that many choose to use between the crib and the big bed.

The sizes 90x200 cm & 120x200 cm are good for the slightly bigger child or for children who are comfortable with having plenty of space around them when they sleep. Many choose the bigger size because there is plenty of room to grow and therefore the bed can be used for a longer time.

When we talk about the sizes 70x160 cm, 90x200 cm, and 120x200 cm, it is also important to remember that these sizes refer to mattress sizes and not the measurements of the bed itself. The exact measurements can be found under each bed. The thickness of the bed legs and edges depends on the bed series you choose. The ECO Luxury series has the thickest posts, followed by the ECO Dream, and finally the ECO Comfort with the least thickness.

The ECO Dream Bunk Bed from Hoppekids is a smart and modern bed with two built-in sleeping spaces. This provides more floor space in the room, as you have two beds but only use floor space for one. At the same time, the bottom bunk can be arranged as a cozy cave - perfect for reading books or going on exciting adventures in fantasy land.

The bunk bed is Swan-labeled. The Swan label is your guarantee that the product complies with all EU standards for children's furniture and has been tested for these. At the same time, the greatest possible consideration is given to the environment both when purchasing raw materials, during production itself, in the life of the product, and when the product is to be disposed of.

The surface is treated with environmentally friendly, water-based lacquer, free of unnecessary chemicals and harmful substances.

The size 70x190 cm provides plenty of room to grow and the child can use the bed until they are ready for a teenage room. At the same time, the bed is not larger than it can fit even in small rooms. The size also allows a parent or grandparent to stay overnight in the bed, as the length is long enough for an adult to lie there. The bed has been tested for a load capacity of 100 kg in each bunk.

Under the bed, you can place large, spacious drawers. So there is room for all the essentials. In addition, textiles, bed rails, and other nice accessories can be purchased.
